PGRO is the UK centre for applied research on temperate peas, beans and lupins. A substantial programme of research and development on all aspects of crop production and use is carried out and reviewed annually by an independent panel. In addition, PGRO offers an information and advisory service, which covers all subjects from seed to harvest, and provides an identification and crop diagnosis service for crop problems. Most of the research is undertaken through field trials and experiments, many of which are conducted on the trial ground of the Organisation's headquarters at Thornhaugh. A journal, published three times a year, is used to communicate the latest research work to members of PGRO.
